I must admit, i am Nicolas Ghesquière biggest fan, i wanted those robot pants(spring 07) and the lego shoes (fall 07) and the sailor dress (spring 07) so badly, every year i envy and love and worship the collections. Then i saw this years, i do not like it at all. The floral prints are overwhelming, and not in the its-so-crazy-its-amazing. nope. I do like the structures, i the mega seaming and rippling darts. I dont love them though, this season i might look to someone else for inspiration.

"I'm exploring new territory, within the references of the house," said Nicolas Ghesquière before the show. "I've done prints before, but I never went to the flowers."

Fall 2007 Ready-to-Wear | Streets
I love love love, give me it all- lego shoes, the scarf dress long or short whatever, the jackes, strip sweaters. Iits the classic what are the kids wearing 'in the streets' and how do I (Nicolas Ghesquière) make it work. Genious!
“It’s a big mix—a street mix, with symbols and colors that are very multicultural,” -Nicolas Ghesquière

Spring 2007 Ready-to-Wear | Droids
Wait , this is spring, he has us in rubber and plastic and pants and metal and more metal. Oh only you Nicholas could convince me that this is ok to wear on a hot summer day. I just have to give props to the re-invention of the chain mail dress, Thierry Mugler did an amazing job back in the 90's, now Nicholas is giving a kick in the ass ass, and it has never looked sexier. Wait there is a big Mugler theme here!
Are those robot leg pants wearable, i would like to know.
Quotes:
"I was thinking of robotic articulation. Car parts. Droids. A boyish silhouette…" said Nicolas Ghesquière
